“ We were on a trip and were staying at a local hotel. We got into town, headed straight to Shoney's because it was 8 pm and they close at 9. We walked in, got seated right away, our waiter came to the table right away. We decided to have the buffet. Even at that time of night, everything was fresh from the salad bar down to everything on the hot side. The fried shrimp, catfish and chicken were all fresh, plus the cook brought out more catfish and chicken! Other meat choices were available and just as good. All the vegetables were very good and the food was seasoned and not bland. There was even fresh cobblers but we were so full we didn't try them but they looked delicious. Our waiter checked on us several times. The place was clean with a great atmosphere. We will eat here again during our travels. All the staff were very friendly also. Worth the stop! ”
